President’s message
D-process was established in 2003 with CMP Foundry service as its main business.
At the time, the CMP process was in its infancy in various application fields such as MEMS. The CMP process in the application field was immature even on a global scale, and amid the need for support from various angles such as materials, equipment, and processes, we have provided support with process development in diverse CMP application fields as a group of CMP specialists.
On the other hand, as the applications of CMP have diversified, the need for pretreatment in the bonding process has rapidly increased. Since its establishment, D-process has had a CMP-based business model policy, but realizing that the bonding process is closely related to the CMP process and would not interfere with D-process’s CMP-based policy, we decided to introduce various bonding devices such as for room temperature bonding and plasma-activated bonding and launch consistent services covering everything from CMP to bonding Foundry service. We have been involved in the development and manufacturing of MEMS devices and other mobile communication devices, DRAMs, and various applications.
Over the years, we have been increasingly entrusted with a number of mass-production businesses that we could never have envisioned at the time of our establishment, and our solutions have been adopted for the mass production of smartphones, wearables, and various other electronic devices with the development of 5G.
While expanding our mass production business covering CMP to bonding, we are also actively working to roll out other processes. Specifically, we have developed a consistent contract processing service that provides a wide range of processing such as patterning, plating processes, and BG to dicing. One of the reasons why D-process provides a consistent Foundry service service is to unify responsibilities. As D-process's foundry system develops ultra-high quality Foundry service services, the entire process must be ultra-high quality, and we believe that by taking full responsibility, we can ensure the development and mass production of ultra-high quality high-end devices.
In recent years, as the product cycle of electronic devices has become shorter, there is more demand for improved design and development speed of devices, support for high-mix low-volume manufacturing, fast delivery times, and ultra-high quality. One of our solutions is to eliminate fabrication facilities and implement outsourcing, and process foundries like D-process take pride in playing an important role in this.
D-process is committed to providing professional service and support by allocating specialists for each process to build a state-of-the-art foundry system and meet the needs of customers.
